There’s something about bags that I can’t resist. I never need another one – as it is, I have too many stuffed in various niches of my room already. I see one, though, and I think: I must have it.Coach bags are endlessly popular, the middle class luxury item. And I love the strong design elements and the cleanness of the line in Coach bags, though I’m not such a big fan of their recent detour into Technicolor. Prada is classic, and you know it and its discreet little triangular sigil will never let you down. Louis Vuitton, on the other hand, screams its presence; it is, in a word, a status symbol. But its designs are always clear and focused, and the quality of their materials is beyond belief. Which brings me to my personal, and most unaffordable, favorite: Hermes. I have an aunt, who married into my poor immigrant family about 15 years ago. She’s wonderfully kind, amusingly mischievous, with an earthy streak in her the size of Texas – she’s my favorite aunt. She also comes from money, and she buys the most beautiful clothes (she’ll only wear Chanel) and, of course, bags. From Hermes. For those of you not in the know, high-end Hermes bags can cost my college tuition for a year. Or all four years. There are waiting lists for the bags, the Birkins, the Kellys, the Mini-Birkins, because the company will not make a bag until it finds the perfect materials, the perfect leather pieces to assemble one. Oh, a Hermes bag is poetry in luxury. Some of these feeds below are commercialized, for ease of buying. To buyers: I wish you well. And I’ll envy your every purchase. But whether you’re buying, or, like me, just looking, these feeds will evoke those same feelings of desire and respect for clever beauty and design. Summer clothes always feel disposable...flimsy materials show wear, tee shirts get stained, swim suits get faded... That's why it's always good to have an arsenal of cute, cheap bags, that aren't going to be sorely missed should they fall victim to a sunscreen spill, or happy hour spill.Forever 21, one of my favorites for...

I think one of the biggest debates here at Bag Snob is Louis Vuitton: to buy it, or not? There are the die hards who will never give up their collection of LV bags and who will buy whatever the brand serves up. The ex-fans (like myself) who will keep their set of vintage luggage from the '70s and the LV bags collected...

New York native Monica Botkier is an ex-fashion photographer with a keen eye for details. I have often admired her bags at stores, not only for its urban appeal but the price point. It would not be far fetched for me to say that she is one of the best brands in the under $500 market and her bags are made of good quality...

I try to look at every bag not as just something I would carry (if I did, then chances are this would be hobos and totes every day) but something I can appreciate, or might notice if I saw someone else carrying it. And once in a while, I come across a bag that I'd love to carry, even though it is so very not my style.The...

Kris Nations Owl Ring: Owls have a mysterious and eerily calming quality to them. Although, I still think of Mr. Owl from the 80’s Tootsie Roll Pop commercial – that cracked me up every time. Ahhh, the good old...

All in DVF dresses. Tina and Kelly in DVF for H. Stern knot necklaces and bracelets.
We filmed for almost 10 hours yesterday. Wearing Louboutins for that length of time is taxing to the feet to say the least. LOL. I am only going to tell you about one of our guests, her friends call her "Dee-ahn", her staff calls her...
